Pride in the Park returns to Riverfront Park in Salem: What to know

Salem’s Pride in the Park is returning to Riverfront Park Saturday.

Salem Capital Pride’s event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature entertainment, food truck and activities for all ages.

“Our casual community celebration of Pride is bigger than ever,” organizers said. “We’ve got over 200 booths with handmade items from queer vendors, free resources, and services for everyone.”

Thousands of people attended the event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in Salem and the Mid-Valley last year.

The nonprofit group Capital Pride was created to uplift and support the voices of the LGBTQ+ community. The group hosts monthly hikes, potlucks, a kickball league, tabletop games, Queer Prom and a National Coming Out Day.

A schedule, map and list of sponsors for Pride in the Park are available online at salemcapitalpride.org/pride.
