Teachers rally for ‘fair contract’ in Albany

ALBANY Ore. (KPTV) – The Greater Albany Education Association held a rally Monday at North Albany Middle School to demand a ‘fair contract’ for this current school year. “This bargaining started in February, we’ve been bargaining since then and still fighting for the issues,” GAEA President Dana Lovejoy said. “You might have seen one of our signs that says please give us a 40-hour week. Our teachers are putting in hours and hours and it’s definitely taking a toll on them.”
