Remember the missing: POW/MIA ceremony held in Molalla

Molalla VFW Post 3973 held a POW/MIA ceremony to commemorate the ongoing efforts to find the remains and whereabouts of more than 1,500 Americans considered missing from the Vietnam War.

In cooperation with the National League of POW/MIA Families, which was incorporated in May of 1970, the Molalla VFW held a ceremony at the memorial plaque in Fox Park on Friday, Sept. 20. In all, there are still 35 Oregonians missing from the Vietnam War.

The national organization was formed to obtain the release of all prisoners, the fullest possible accounting for the missing and repatriation of all recoverable remains of those who died serving the nation during the Vietnam War.
