Former superintendent files $2.5 million suit against his old district, charging breach of contract

The former superintendent of the Newberg-Dundee School District has filed a wrongful termination suit against the 4,000-student district for breach of contract. Stephen Phillips, who went on medical leave in June after acknowledging that the district was facing a previously undisclosed $13 million budget hole, is seeking $2.5 million in damages.
