Wilsonville artists, artisans and art-appreciators may be interested in the Charbonneau Festival of the Arts, which celebrates 40 years this month.

The event will take place Oct. 11-13, beginning with an artisan booth show from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11. An opening night reception will be held that evening from 6-9 p.m at the activities center, featuring guitarist Kevin Karrick, a silent auction and more. People can attend the festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday Oct. 12-13.

Tickets for the opening reception are $5 when purchased before Tuesday, Oct. 8 and $10 at the door. Admission to the event is free on Saturday and Sunday.

The original “Showcase of Arts & Crafts” was held in Charbonneau in September 1983, according to a press release, and has grown since then. The festival will feature a fine art gallery, student art gallery, artisan gift show and more.
