Justin Bell, West Salem cross-country
West Salem senior Justin Bell ran a 5,000-meter personal best of 15 minutes, 45.7 to finish 40th Sept. 28 in the championship division at Nike Portland XC.
Bell now owns the 31st-best time in the state among 6A runners.
Trayton Futi, Sprague football
Sprague senior receiver and defensive back grabbed an interception and hauled in a touchdown Oct. 5 during the Olympians’ 48-0 win over South Salem.
