— Monmouth, Dec. 31 – Martin M. Harvey, pioneer of Oregon, died very suddenly at his home near Monmouth on the 29th of December. Mr. Harvey was born in Montgomery county, Indiana on November 18, 1867 and came to Oregon when 21 years of age and settled in the Nehalem valley. He married Jennie Burkhead and the family resided at Mist for many years. In 1910 he moved to Monmouth to a farm one and one half miles north of the city.
