PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – A food pantry in a small Oregon city in dire need of donations and supplies as need increases.
There’s an empty refrigerator along with holes on the shelves where canned good once sat and dozens of egg cartons stacked up. Even the freezer at the Willamina Community Food Pantry was turned off, because there wasn’t enough food to keep it on.

“It’s difficult when people are hungry, when kids are hungry,” said one volunteer, Susan Otcenas. “They’re going to look to supplement their food budget.”
With a population in Willamina around 2,000, the pantry serves surrounding communities as well. What makes them special is that they don’t turn anyone away…
