LEBANON, Ore. – A man is in jail after an assault late Saturday night that left a man unconscious and severely injured, Lebanon police said.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, at about 11:45 p.m. on April 12, officers responded to the area of south 12th Street in Lebanon for a reported assault. Officers said they arrived to find an unconscious man who had suffered severe facial injuries. Lebanon police said Lebanon Fire Department medics responded with first aid and took the victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Lebanon police said their investigation of the incident eventually identified Troy Steven Williamson, 23, as the suspect in the assault. Police said Williamson was arrested and sent to the Linn County Jail on a charge of second-degree assault.
