Oregon’s Ōkta set to reopen with new team, months after announcing abrupt closure

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — It turns out a lauded Oregon restaurant that suddenly shuttered last year will re-open next month.

On Monday, Tributary Hotel’s Ōkta announced it will return as Ōkta Farm and Kitchen on May 3. The McMinnville eatery’s resurgence follows the welcoming of a new “culinary and farm team,” which will offer seasonal four-course menus starting this summer.

“The inaugural season will celebrate the bounty of spring produce from ōkta farm, where the team has been hard at work over the past four years creating a regenerative food and farming ecosystem,” Ōkta explained in a release. “What began as a half acre project, has expanded to include another full acre of produce-growing, a herd of Dorper sheep, and Bramble Hill Vineyard, adjacent to the farm.”
