Beth Trotter is the kind of person who likes to prepare for significant life change. So, when she became pregnant with her first daughter in 2016 at 38 years old, Trotter accepted all the genetic tests a first-time mother could get.
Trotter and her husband were excited when the longtime obstetrician-gynecologist told her that her bloodwork was normal. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl she and her husband described as an Olympian running through the milestones –talking by five monthsand walking at 11 months.
