Woodburn Police honored by Liberty House for protecting children in community

Liberty House, a local nonprofit focused on child abuse prevention, honored the Woodburn Police Department at the April 28 city council meeting for its ongoing commitment to protecting vulnerable children in the community.

According to Liberty House CEO Alison Kelley, the department’s work with the Marion County Multi-Disciplinary Child Abuse Team played a key role in helping the nonprofit earn accreditation from the National Children’s Alliance.

“Together, we’ve built a strong foundation of trust and safety for children and families navigating some of their most difficult moments,” Kelley said. “We are proud to stand alongside a department that enforces the law and leads with compassion.”…
