Woman gets 7.5 years in prison for trying to stab two Keizer police officers

SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — A Marion County judge sentenced a 41-year-old woman on Thursday to 7.5 years in prison after she tried to stab two Keizer police officers, the District Attorney’s Office said.

Late last month, a jury found Brandi Cortes guilty of second-degree attempted assault, assault and attempted assault of a public safety officer and other charges.
