A Salem business owner and contractor won’t be allowed to withdraw the guilty pleas he entered a year ago in two cases involving the 2023 attempted murder of his wife and killing of her dog, a Marion County judge decided in an opinion issued May 13.
Mark Fox, 54, pleaded guilty to eight counts including attempted murder, assault, animal abuse, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest and strangulation on May 29, 2024.
Fox faces a sentence of 7.5 to 28 years in prison…
