Oregon man imprisoned for killing goat with ‘no remorse’

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Sheridan man will spend more than three years in prison after he broke into a house in Dallas, Ore. and killed the homeowner’s goat in October 2024.

Matthew Alan Luker, 50, was found guilty of first-degree burglary and recklessly endangering another person on May 5.

He had also pleaded guilty to aggravated animal abuse and first-degree criminal mischief. The judge said Luker had shown “no remorse” for his actions.

In addition to prison time, Luker will also spend three years under post-prison supervision…
