A 20-year-old Stayton man pleaded guilty to attempted murder June 3 and was sentenced to 12 years in prison for a 2024 shooting in downtown Salem.
William Jonah Wilson was arrested Aug. 6, 2024, for a June 29 shooting. Salem Police responded to the shooting at about 9:20 p.m. and found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the neck in the 400 block of Mill Street SE.
