Locals and tourists alike may have come across signs around the state that are part of the Oregon Film Trail, a project that recognizes significant movies and TV shows that filmed on location in Oregon.
The initiative, created by the Governor’s Office of Film and TV (also known as Oregon Film) and the nonprofit Oregon Made Creative Foundation, installs signs in cities, towns and other locations where movies and TV shows have filmed, sharing information about the projects.
The latest community to unveil an Oregon Film Trail marker is Dallas, a Willamette Valley town 13 miles west of Salem. The more than 40 Oregon Film Trail signs include celebrations of such popular favorites as “The Goonies,” “Twilight” and “Stand By Me.”…
