Drier skies along with warmer temps return Sunday to PDX

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — It may officially be summer, but spring-like vibes continued around our region Saturday as much of the Willamette Valley saw daytime highs only reach the mid-50s. And while we continued to see well below normal daytime highs, those cooler afternoon temperatures were also met with soaking rain at times.

As for the rain gauges around Portland, we totaled over three-quarters of an inch of rain by 9 p.m. Saturday.

Rain showers are expected to linger into our very early morning hours Sunday. But by the afternoon, dry skies will return. Sunday afternoon will also bring warmer daytime highs up and down the I-5 corridor, with temps expected to rise into the low 70s…
