Oregon House passes bill banning gun bump stocks

SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — The Oregon House passed a bill on Thursday banning the sale and possession of “rapid-fire activators,” a gun accessory that increases the rate at which semiautomatic guns can be fired.

Advocates for the bill say accessories like bump stocks bypass an existing state ban on fully automatic weapons.
