A Clackamas County grand jury found that an Oregon City police officer was justified in shooting a former Canby police sergeant during a standoff last month that ended in the man’s suicide.
The decision, announced Friday, found no criminal wrongdoing by Officer Sydney Oden in the May 16 shooting of Scott Alan Farmer. Farmer had opened fire on her outside his home after telling police he wanted to kill himself, prosecutors said.
