PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was successfully rescued by multiple crews after falling from a steep trail and injuring his leg near Salem on Thursday, officials said.
Trailer fire in Eagle Creek displaces family of four
According to the Salem Fire Department, one of their technical rescue teams was called to assist in a rope rescue at Abiqua Falls, located just outside Salem along Crooked Finger Road.
With further aid from Silverton Fire and Marion County Search & Rescue, crews found a man who had fallen from a steep canyon trail and injured his leg.
Since he was unable to climb up on his own, officials said emergency crews used 300-foot ropes and a pulley system to bring the injured man to safety…
