Authorities ‘tirelessly’ searching for missing Albany man after finding car in forest

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Six days after an Albany man disappeared from his residence without explanation, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office says they are “tirelessly” searching for the man after finding his car.

Officials say 63-year-old David Winter left his home on July 1 and has been missing ever since.

On Tuesday, LCSO deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle found near Snow Peak in the Willamette National Forest.

“The reporting party stated that he had found a vehicle on a secluded logging road and believed it might be associated with a missing person case reported to the Albany Police Department,” authorities said…
