SALEM Ore. (KPTV) – The City of Salem is suing its former ambulance provider for nearly $7 million for breach of contract, court documents filed in Marion County show.
According to the lawsuit, the City of Salem says that Falck, their ambulance provider from 2015 through this June, failed to meet multiple performance obligations, including staffing, patient drop time, response to non-emergency calls, and response time.
As a result, the City of Salem says that Salem Fire, who took over ambulance service for the city last week, provided “mutual aid” on nearly 10,000 incidents between January 2022 and February 2025…
