2 dead, 1 teen airlifted to hospital after crash involving semi-truck near Albany

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people died and a 15-year-old girl was seriously injured after a two-car crash on Hwy 226 on Monday, Oregon State Police announced.

Officers responded to the crash just after 7:45 p.m. near milepost 1.5.

OSP said that 55-year-old Jarri Saul was driving east on the highway in a red Buick Envoy when they tried to turn north onto Old Bridge Drive and was struck head-on by a westbound blue Kenworth commercial motor vehicle…
