SALEM, Ore. — The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) announced Friday it will no longer be waiving parking fees at an additional 21 day-use parks in the state, including three in Central Oregon, saying it is a “proactive effort to build a more resilient financial future.”
Starting Oct. 1, Cline Falls State Scenic Viewpoint, La Pine State Park and Prineville Reservoir State Park will be among those now charging a $10 day-use fee for in-state visitors and $12 out-of-state visitors. The fee does not apply to visitors who walk, bike, use public transportation, have a valid hangtag from camping at an Oregon State Park or a 12 or 24-month parking permit.
Overnight rates at 29 parks will also go up — including at Tumalo State Park, La Pine State Park and Cove Palisades State Park — to the top of the current rate range from May 1 through September 30.
