Cloudy skies are expected to stick around this morning and linger into early afternoon, even in inland valleys, keeping highs cooler today — mostly mid-to-upper 70s inland and 60s along the coast. If skies clear earlier, we could nudge into the low 80s inland. Tonight, temperatures dip into the 50s.
Tomorrow brings a little more warmth with highs in the 80s for the valleys, unless thicker high clouds build ahead of the next system. That system, moving in late tomorrow night into Wednesday and brings the best chance in three weeks for widespread rain. Northern Oregon and southwest Washington are most likely to see measurable rain, with totals between a tenth and a third of an inch. South of Corvallis, rain will be lighter or may miss entirely.
