Forty years ago, one of the greatest sports underdog stories occurred at the Oregon State Track and Field Championships.
Now, filming is taking place at Mt. Hood Community College, which played host to the athletic achievement, for a new movie. “Flash Before the Bang” tells the story of the 1986 Oregon School for the Deaf boys track and field team, underdogs who won the Oregon Class B State Invitational held that year on MHCC’s track.
