Valley Braces for Extreme Heat

A significant heatwave is on its way through the Willamette Valley and surrounding areas. We’ll be keeping a close eye on these temperatures, as we’re forecasting highs well into the triple digits early in the week, specifically reaching up to 102 degrees! This is certainly hotter than what we typically see for this time of year, and we’re advising everyone to take precautions, stay hydrated, and limit outdoor activities during the peak heat hours.

As we move from Monday into Tuesday, the intense heat continues, with highs still soaring near 98 degrees. We’ll see plenty of sunshine with just a slight shift in the wind direction. By Wednesday, we should start to see some moderation in temperatures, but it will still be very warm, with highs around 90 degrees under abundant sunshine. Thursday offers more pleasant conditions as morning clouds give way to sunshine, with highs dropping into the low 80s…
