CORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State is back on the practice field for another week fall camp, and the run game which was a driving force in last year’s offense, remains a focal point.
The Beavers relied heavily on the ground attack in 2024, but with new quarterback Maalik Murphy in the mix, the offense is expected to have a more versatile look this season.
Murphy, who transferred from Duke after starting his career at Texas, brings a strong arm and the ability to push the ball downfield. Murphy’s ability to stretch the field should take some pressure off the backs, giving defenses more to think about. Still, the run game remains a central piece of the playbook…
