SALEM, Ore. (KPTV) – A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault and robbery near a Salem park, according to the Salem Police Department.
Frank Donovan Eckel is facing charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police say the charges stem from a violent robbery that happened in the early morning hours of Aug. 3 near Wallace Marine Park. The victim reported being approached by a man who assaulted and threatened them with a knife. The suspect then fled with the victim’s backpack…
