Oregon team on ‘Lego Masters Jr.’ says competing on the TV show was ‘super cool’

National TV viewers may already know from watching reality shows that Oregon is a center for culinary talent, scenic beauty, and general creativity. And now, thanks to the “Lego Masters” franchise, Fox network fans have seen Oregon-based talent show their ability as Lego builders, as well.

The latest example of locals stepping up to Lego TV glory comes courtesy of two Keizer-based young people, Vincent Brooks, 11, and Hudson Erickson, 13. The pair teamed up to compete on “Lego Masters Jr.”, a spinoff of the popular “Lego Masters.”

“Lego Masters Jr.” which debuts at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, on Fox, pairs young teams with celebrity partners. Brooks and Erickson are teamed with Ravi P. Patel, who costars with Joel McHale on the Fox comedy, “Animal Control.”…
