The long-contested expansion of businesses surrounding the Aurora State Airport took a step forward when the Marion County Commissioners voted 3-0 on Aug. 13 to expand the airport boundary.
That expansion would allow the “church camp” — the property that borders Aurora State Airport — to be developed into hangars, office space and pads for helicopters and eVTOLs (electric aircraft), to take off and land on.
