Cancer survivor helps create ‘Lights of Hope’ display in Salem

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A seven-time cancer survivor from Salem is helping spread some hope through a grand display of lights in one of the city’s most popular parks.

Kathy Ottele is helping create one of the nation’s largest hometown ‘Lights of Hope‘ displays, working with volunteers and business sponsors to illuminate more than 2,000 lights.
