Second Salem man sentenced for role in selling THC-laced cereal, candy

A second Salem man has been sentenced in federal court for manufacturing products including cereal bars and candy with THC, the main psychoactive compound in cannabis plants, and the hallucinogenic ingredient psilocybin, and will forfeit more than $2 million in assets.

Antonio Irving Benjamin, 53, pleaded guilty in federal court in February to conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to distribute and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

He was sentenced on Aug. 26 to 12 years in federal prison…
