Salem, OR – A Friday night traffic stop in Marion County allegedly uncovered a firearm and a large quantity of methamphetamine, authorities said.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy conducted the stop around 9 p.m. near 100 Lancaster Dr. NE in Salem. The driver, identified as 40-year-old Anthony Cox, allegedly told deputies he had a gun in his waistband. Deputies recovered a Ruger Security-9 handgun and safely detained him.
Investigators later obtained a search warrant for the vehicle. Inside, deputies reportedly found a lockbox containing about 100 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and additional drug paraphernalia…
