School board votes to remove the interim status from his contract
The maintenance staff of the Newberg-Dundee school district will soon face a small challenge: removing the word “interim” from the door of Dave Parker’s office at district headquarters.
That’s because the district’s board of directors voted at its Sept. 9 meeting to extend Parker’s contract and name him the permanent superintendent.
“Superintendent Parker has made positive contributions to our district during a critical time,” board Chair Deb Bridges said in a release. “His stability and vision for the future of Newberg-Dundee Public Schools are what the district needs to move us forward. Our students deserve the passion he brings for teaching and learning and helping all our students reach their educational goals.”…
