American Red Cross will be collecting blood Sept. 18 and Sept. 30
A national health organization wants people in Newberg and throughout the country to recognize National Preparedness Month in September with a simple gift to those needing medical care.
“The American Red Cross reminds people to give hope by making a blood donation a priority,” the Northwest Oregon Chapter of the organization said in a release. “It’s the blood products already on the shelves that can make a difference in urgent medical care.”
To that end, the Red Cross has scheduled two donation events in Newberg in September: from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 18 at Zion Lutheran Church, 301 S. River St., and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30 at Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness Center, 1802 Haworth Ave…
