The rumors are true, and Black Bear Diner is set to open in Salem next month.
Staff of the diner recently provided construction updates for the location coming to 5005 Commercial Street SE on social media. This is in place of the former Shari’s Cafe & Pies and will be Oregon’s 11th Black Bear Diner location. According to an online listing, the diner is opening on Oct. 21.
This newest location will be the first in the Salem area. It’s on the south side of Salem in the South Gateway neighborhood. The diner is right at the corner of Commercial Street SE and Kuebler Boulevard, next to b2 Taphouse & Brewery…
