F-16 Vipers Arrive in Portland for Oregon International Air Show

PORTLAND, Ore. — The roar of jet engines is set to take over McMinnville this weekend as the United States Air Force F-16 Viper Demo Team landed Thursday at Portland Air National Guard Base, gearing up for the 2025 Oregon International Air Show.

A Packed Lineup of Aerial Power

The air show, scheduled from Friday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 28, will feature some of the most iconic aircraft in U.S. and Canadian military history.

Alongside the F-16 Vipers, audiences will see thrilling demonstrations from:

  • F-15 Eagles of the Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Fighter Wing
  • Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the renowned aerobatic team
  • U.S. Navy EA-18 Growler Demo Team, showcasing cutting-edge naval aviation

Adding to the excitement, the Erickson Aircraft Collection will take to the skies with a B-25J Mitchell bomber, a historic aircraft that played a pivotal role in World War II.

Honoring Heritage

This year’s event will include a U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight, a tribute that pairs modern Air Force fighter jets with vintage warbirds in formation, honoring aviators past and present.

For aviation enthusiasts, it’s not just an air show — it’s a chance to see history and innovation fly side by side.

Schedule and Gates

The show will be held at McMinnville Municipal Airport. Event details are as follows:

  • Friday: Gates open at 11 a.m., show runs 12:30 p.m.–4:15 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: Gates open at 10 a.m., show runs 12:30 p.m.–4:15 p.m.
  • Gates close at 5 p.m. each day.

A tentative performer schedule is available online, though officials note times and acts are subject to change.

Ticket Information

Tickets are already on sale, with prices varying by day:

  • Friday and Sunday: Adults $40, Children $15
  • Saturday: Adults $50, Children $25
