Train Crashes Into Logging Truck Trapped At Red Light In Oregon

Authorities say no one was injured when a train crashed into a logging truck in Oregon on Monday.

The Clackamas County Sheriffs Office said deputies responded along with Canby Fire District crews to a reported crash between a Union Pacific train and a logging truck on South Barlow Road at South Highway 99E, south of Canby, at around 8:15 a.m. Monday.

South Barlow Road was closed for several hours while the sheriff’s office investigated, assisted by Canby Police and Oregon State Police. Meanwhile, Canby Fire, assisted by Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and Monitor Fire, looked for any “hazmat concerns” associated with the train. Fire officials said no hazmat issues were found…
