State lawmakers are gearing up to point a microscope at the program providing health care to 1.4 million low-income Oregonians to respond to the state’s funding crisis and expected reductions stemming from changes made by Republicans in Congress.
That was the main takeaway from a wide-ranging panel discussion Monday among key Oregon lawmakers in Salem, at a conference hosted by CCO Oregon, a nonprofit umbrella group that includes providers and the coordinated care organizations that provide managed care under the Oregon Health Plan.
