Measles virus detected at Marion County wastewater facility; no cases confirmed in county

Earlier this month, the virus that causes measles was detected in a wastewater sample at a Marion County water treatment facility, according to the Oregon Health Authority.

The sample, collected Oct. 6, indicates that at least one person infected with the virus was in the area serviced by the wastewater treatment plant, OHA said in a statement.
