Three separate DUII crashes on October 19 kept Yamhill County deputies busy, highlighting alcohol-related dangers as the Sheriff’s Office urges drivers to plan ahead.
Yamhill County, OR. — On Sunday, October 19, 2025, Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to two major crashes involving impaired drivers, while also assisting Oregon State Police with a third.
Deputy Jody Ingham, the county’s dedicated DUII Enforcement deputy funded through an Oregon Department of Transportation grant, investigated both primary incidents. Excessive speed and alcohol impairment were identified as causal factors in each crash, which caused significant traffic disruptions on rural two-lane roads.
The first crash occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the 24000 block of NE Sunnycrest Road near Newberg. A vehicle driven by Debbie Miller, 59, left the road and rolled about 100 feet into a ravine. Fire and EMS crews from Dundee and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue extricated Miller, who was airlifted to a Portland trauma center.
