• 9:23 p.m. — Troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 281 near milepost 7 in Hood River County that took the life of Phillip Mickey Himes, 37, of Hood River. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a southbound Subaru Impreza driven by Pedro Jonathan Flores-Flores, 26, of Hood River, attempted to pass another southbound vehicle in a no passing zone and struck Himes’ northbound Honda VT750 motorcycle head-on. Himes was declared deceased at the scene. Flores-Flores was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, reckless endangering and first-degree manslaughter…
