Clackamas County uses drones and K9 units to find missing hunter in Mount Hood

MOUNT HOOD NATIONAL FOREST, Ore. (KATU) — Authorities are working to locate Devon Dobek, a 51-year-old hunter from Hubbard, who went missing in the Mount Hood National Forest southeast of Estacada.

Dobek, an experienced hunter, was last heard from on Oct. 31 when he informed a friend he was returning early after “getting a deer,” Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office reported.

His truck was found near the Fish Creek Trailhead off Southeast Highway 224 and 54 Road, but there was no sign of him or the deer…
