City of Corvallis sets up food drop sites after federal cuts

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The City of Corvallis is stepping up to support residents as federal food assistance benefits expire this month. According to the City, drop boxes for food donations are now available at most city facilities.

These drop boxes are located at several key locations, including the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library branches, City Hall, Osborn Aquatic Center, C3, and the Downtown Fire Station. Donations will be collected during regular business hours.

The collected food will be delivered to Linn Benton Food Share for distribution. They are accepting non-perishable items like canned proteins, rice, and pasta, but not items in glass containers or expired goods…
