LEBANON, Ore. – The Lebanon Fire District has secured a $1 million Community Wildfire Defense Grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service.
This five-year funding will enhance wildfire prevention, seasonal staffing, and community resilience in the Lebanon area. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, this grant is part of a $200 million national investment in wildfire defense. It aims to help at-risk communities reduce wildfire risk and protect infrastructure.
