Beaverton man arrested in Woodburn as suspect in Vancouver homicide case

A Beaverton man is one of three suspects arrested by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office in connection to a carjacking case that left one man dead.

Beaverton resident Tyreese Hammer, 24, was arrested Oct. 30 in Woodburn by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office as a suspect in an Oct. 26 homicide, according to a press release from the department.

Investigators believe Hammer and two others — 23-year-old Scappoose resident Lucy Montoya and 22-year-old Hillsboro resident Cristian Russell — attempted to steal a Dodge Challenger Hellcat from an apartment complex located at 9413 N.E. 19th Ave. in Vancouver, Washington, according to the release…
