CORVALLIS, Ore. – A recent analysis by Oregon State University and Utrecht University reveals that children who grow up with parental acceptance and minimal negativity tend to face fewer challenges in their own parenting.
According to the study, early childhood parenting experiences have a greater impact on future parenting styles compared to experiences during teenage years. Researchers Sanne Geeraerts and David Kerr examined data from more than 12,000 families to understand the intergenerational transmission of parenting styles.
