PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Oregon Humane Society is looking for homes for 23 Pyrenees-mix dogs who were part of a recent neglect case, OHS announced on Saturday.
The dogs were brought to OHS on Sept. 23 after a rescue effort with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. OHS staff have been giving the dogs special care to ensure they are ready for adoption.
In total, 62 dogs and puppies were placed with OHS after the rescue operation, with some having already been adopted and others continuing to work with the OHS behavior team, they said.
“These dogs have made incredible progress while they have been in our care, thanks to the tireless dedication of our staff and volunteers,” said Eleena Fikhman with OHS. “Although many are still timid, they have blossomed from scared and withdrawn to loving and playful.”…
